2019 Book Prize Shortlist

We are pleased to announce that three books have been shortlisted for the inaugural EHS Book Prize: Jesse A Hoover’s The Donatist Church in an Apocalyptic Age (OUP), Nathan J Ristuccia’s Christianization & Commonwealth in Early Medieval Europe (OUP), Robin Whelan’s The Politics of Orthodoxy in the Post-Imperial West (UCP), Naomi Pullin’s Female Friends & the making of Transatlantic Quakerism, 1650-1750 (CUP), Sam Brewitt-Taylor’s Christian Radicalism in the Church of England and the Invention of the British Sixties, 1957-1970.

The winner will be announced at the Winter Meeting on 18 January 2020.

Congratulations to the winners of the 2018 EHS Book Prize: William H. Campbell for The Landscape of Pastoral Care in Thirteenth-Century England (Cambridge University Press).
